Gluten-Free Cornmeal Cake with Very Berry Compote Recipe

Don't think of cornbread when you look at this recipe. It couldn't be more different. This is a rich cake. The cornmeal provides a nice crunch, but it isn't the only, or overwhelming, characteristic.
