Gluten-Free Night at the Ruck
Suzanne, who blogs for the Times Union, just posted information about the evening, which includes gluten-free beer and a comfort food gluten-free menu. Check out her blog for all the details.
Joan Hamburg Health and Wellness Event
Not a gluten-free event, per se. But I'm joining Joan for this live taping of her popular radio show. I'll be chatting about the gluten-free diet and how to cook gluten-free. Other topics include women's health, diet, and nutrition. Tickets are $50.00 with a portion of the proceeds going to charity. Since dinner is included in the price of the ticket, I'd call ahead with any gluten-free meal requests because I'm not sure how they're handling gluten-free meals.
Price Chopper Gluten-Free Food Festival
I can't wait for the Gluten-Free Food Festival hosted by Price Chopper at the Century House in Latham. Tickets for the event are $10.00 with all proceeds going to the Albany Celiac Support Group.
If you haven't been to one of these events, imagine table after table filled with samples and information from gluten-free vendors. It's a great way to have some fun, eat some food, and chat with vendors and members of the gluten-free community.
This year, I'll be there with my books. (I usually attend as a guest.) So stop by my table, I'm always thrilled to see you. (Yes, you!)
1st Annual Mid-Hudson Walk for Celiac Awareness
Erin Smith from GlutenFreeFun.BlogSpot.Com told me about the first ever Mid-Hudson walk for celiac awareness. It's taking place on the Hudson Walkway, a beautiful spot if there ever was one! I'd love to attend but I'll be at the next event on the list. So if you go, take pictures! Have fun and tell me how it was!
From Scratch Club Food Swap and Demo
I'm so thrilled the "From Scratch Club" asked me to offer a demo at their upcoming "swap." The event is part of Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day. Tickets are free but you do need one to attend. Sign up here!
And you might remember when a group of bloggers teamed up and cooked from my latest cookbook, How to Cook Gluten-Free. Well, during the roundup, I somehow overlooked one of the bloggers that participated. Summar, from Lemon Tree Baking Company, made a batch of powdered sugar doughnut muffins and goulash.
Check out her blog! A huge thanks to Summar for participating and I'm so sorry I overlooked you in the blog roundup. Thanks for letting me know!
