4 Hearty Gluten-Free Soups to Make Right Now

Alright, winter. You got me. Usually I try not to complain about the weather but this year? Oh my god, this winter feels endless. So cold! So snowy! So OVER IT.

Since I can't control the weather (darn it!), I can control what I make. And with a winter like this, I want soup. Lots of soup.

Here are four of my favorite hearty winter soups.

Italian Wedding Soup --recipe--
Two of my cold weather favorites, soup and meatballs, meet in this rich, hearty soup. It's one of my absolute favorites.

Sweet Potato Soup --recipe--
This smooth creamy soup hides a little secret: a spicy kick. Of course, if you don't like spice, skip it. You're still rewarded with a tasty soups that brightens any cold winter day.

Cheesy Broccoli --recipe--
Before going gluten-free, I loved Panera's Cheddar Broccoli soup. Now that I'm gluten-free, I can't go out for it. This is good news because who wants to leave the house in this weather? Luckily for me, I can stay home (and stay warm!) and make a pot of this soup.

Corn Chowder --recipe--
I MISS SUMMER. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. But, guys, I MISS SUMMER. Until it heats up and our gardens grow, I can comfort myself with a bowl of corn chowder. It's not the same, of course, but at least it's tasty.

Saltines --recipe--
Because what's soup without crackers? Boring, that's what!
