Saratoga Food Swap!
October 11, 2012
What are you doing on October 17th?
If you're in the Saratoga Springs, NY area, why don't you join me at the local food swap? Organized by Christina Davis and her From Scratch Club, food swaps are a place where all ages of folks bring homemade food & drink products, garden bounty, and "crafty" things like soap and yarn to swap with others. Neat, right? But for me that's not the real appeal of the food swap. No, for me, it's all about the community that happens during the swap. It's nothing short of amazing. Folks who just met start talking about recipes, restaurants, and more. Looking around the room, you can see friendships begining to take root.
Really, you need to come to the swap and see what's it all about!
And if you don't want to "swap"? Come anyway! Folks who are "swap curious" are welcome. (Whether you are swapping or just observing, you do need to get a ticket. It's a free event but a $2.00 donation is suggested.)
If that's not enticing enough...during this swap, children's books will be swapped(!), Saratoga Mama will be there, and I'll be talking about gluten-free baking/cooking! All that for a tiny $2.00 suggested donation! Great, right?
Sign up here! I can't wait to see you at the Swap!
